As well as encouraging training and development for the operations team, CountyClean also support their office team. The latest training triumph was for Holly Sperring, Accounts Assistant, who recently passed her Level 1 City and Guilds Certificate in Bookkeeping and Accounts with a first-class pass!
Holly started the course in January 2020 but classes sadly got cancelled in March due to the Coronavirus pandemic. However, classes were resumed in September 2020 with Holly fortunately able to sit the exam in December before another lockdown.
Throughout the 17 week course, Holly learnt how to apply a range of basic bookkeeping techniques, such as double-entry bookkeeping, preparation of simple trading and profit and loss accounts, stock accounts and balance sheets.
Holly has shown great initiative since joining CountyClean Group in May 2019 as Administrator/Receptionist with 5 years’ prior experience as a Customer Service and Administrative Assistant. Holly’s ability soon became apparent and she was approached to carry out a split role between an Administrator and an Accounts Assistant.
After quickly learning the ropes and showing herself to be a real asset to the accounts team, as of November 2019 Holly transferred over to the accounts department full time as an Accounts Assistant where she has been learning and thriving since.
At the CountyClean Group, employees are encouraged to take on various courses and training specific to their roles to learn and develop their skills and progress with the Group. Holly is looking forward to building her career and accounts knowledge even further with the CountyClean Group’s help and support and will begin her level 2 Bookkeeping and Accounts in March.
Congratulations again Holly!
