Brief: The expert civil engineering team at CountyClean undertake a variety of projects throughout the year, with no job to big or too small. Our groundworks and installations team were recently approached by a client living in rural East Sussex, who wanted to ensure their septic tank system was working efficiently and could remain a sustainable and budget friendly option in the long term.
CountyClean’s Civil Engineering Manager, Ross Farnes and his team of specialists were tasked with completing an upgrade of the septic tank system which had become inappropriate for the volumes of waste produced by the property.
Solution: Ross and his team carried out an initial site survey to ascertain the most suitable solution to meet both the client’s requirements and budget. The team decided the best course of action would be to install a sewage treatment plant.
While the job was not without its challenges; the team had to remove the rear garden walls, as access to the rear of the property was tight and space was limited for the excavator to pass through, however, ever the professionals, the team completed the job, on budget, with minimum disruption to the client’s living space. In true CountyClean style, due care and attention was given to each of the client’s priorities-budget, access to the property and its surroundings during work completion and a safe and clean system.
Results: The new system installed by CountyClean’s civil engineering experts is now fully functioning. The client is now able to relax in the knowledge that the property has the best system for the site.
Mr Kent, who took receipt of the system, said “My wife and I are pleased to tell you that we are delighted with the installation. Changing from the brick built septic tank that was installed in 1960 has improved the quality of our lives no end. We now flush with pleasure instead of fear.
We must also tell you how pleased we were with the installation team you sent. It was a pleasure to have them in our home. Ross Farnes and his two assistants were charming. They had to deal with some days of heavy downpour which made our heavy clay soil difficult to work with.
Everything however went smoothly, like well-oiled machinery, despite the inclement weather and exceedingly tight access and sharp corners Ross had to negotiate bringing in and removing the excavator.”
