Marketing Manager Acquires Qualification from Professional Marketing Body

With the support and encouragement of CountyClean, Gaby Steel, The Group’s Marketing Manager recently passed her Level 6 Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Diploma in Professional Marketing with a merit!

CIM is the world’s leading and most successful professional body for marketing, the Level 6 qualification aims to help individuals develop their strategic marketing skills, enabling them to progress in their careers and perform professionally at management level.

Gaby started the course in January 2019 and was looking forward to having the opportunity to blend practical skills and academic learning to gain a broader and strategic understanding of marketing. Gaby felt that the course was important to ensure she is keeping up with the latest trends to stay ahead in the field of marketing.

The qualification consisted of two modules; Innovation in Marketing and the Digital Customer Experience. Classroom-based learning began in January 2019 for the Innovation in Marketing module, luckily all content had been covered in face-to-face lessons before the Coronavirus pandemic hit. The module explored how organisations can adopt an innovative approach to the challenges presented by the forever-changing marketplace and how marketing can lead and cultivate innovation. Gaby submitted a 5,000 word written work-based assignment for this module in May 2020.

Gaby Steel with Marketing CertificatesOnline-based learning via Zoom for the second module started in June 2020 since face-to-face learning was cancelled. The Digital Customer Experience module focussed on equipping students with the skills to analyse and improve a customer journey. This involves selecting and managing a range of digital channels to fulfil customer needs and create an effective online experience. This module also required another 5,000 word assignment which was submitted in September 2020.

Gaby got her overall results in April 2021 with her certificates arriving in May 2021. Gaby said: “I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome, especially since we were required to switch from face-to-face to online learning. I finished my first assessment during the first lockdown which was definitely a challenge but I’m really glad I was able to keep busy! I am also really thankful to CountyClean for providing me with the opportunity as well as encouragement to find a course suitable to my job role which would also aid my personal development.”

At the CountyClean Group, employees are encouraged to take on various courses and training specific to their roles to learn and develop their skills and progress with the Group. Gaby is looking forward to building her career and marketing knowledge even further with the CountyClean Group’s help and support and is already looking for a new course to start.

What an excellent achievement, Gaby! Well done.
